During July and August, there are many fantastic night markets (marches gourmands) packed full of local artisanal foods and produce,
everyone eats together on huge rows of tables, in spectacular village settings and with typical French conviviality.
You will find the dates on-line and advertised on posters all over Dordogne.

Excideuil – Thursday morning.
Hautefort – Wednesday morning (small).
Périgueux – Saturday morning (must be visited).
Sarlat-La-Caneda – Saturday morning (also worth visiting – and the biggest).
St Cyprien – Sunday morning (great and another of our favourites).
Brives-La-Gaillarde – Saturday morning.
